Public Lecture: Alfredo Jaar - It is difficult
Alfredo Jaar will present a series of recent projects realized around the world on Wednesday, 11 March 2009, 18.00 in the Lecture Theatre at the Art College. The event is followed by a wine reception in the Foyer.

Studying at the University of Ulster has never been so exciting. Whilst the School of Art and Design has a long and established history and reputation as being at the forefront of Art and Design Education and Research we are now entering a new and challenging phase of development. With the current £31million spend on the redevelopment of the Belfast campus, the home of Art and Design, and the formation of the new Faculty of Art, Design and The Built Environment we are looking forward to the next phase in the development of new programmes.
Underpinning all developments is the core aim of the School, to develop high quality teaching provision in the context of a strong research ethos and emerging academic enterprise activity.
The School of Art and Design benefits from its central location in the heart of a rapidly growing and thriving city. Belfast has all the major facilities that one would expect from a city that has seen great change and investment in recent times and with its welcoming nature and vibrant creative community it continues to be a highly desirable destination for local, national and international students.
